Parish council minutes can be a useful source of historical information. Parish councils were established in 1894, and Tatham Parish Council minutes were handwritten in books until 2001. The minutes for 1894-2001 have been photographed, and are now available on the website, along with a spreadsheet of councillors, chairmen and clerks from 1894 to 2013.
The books themselves are to be transferred to Lancashire Archives in Preston, where they will be available for reference.
