Cosy Homes is a partnership of 14 Lancashire Local Authorities established to help improve the energy efficiency of properties across Lancashire.
As part of the government Home Upgrade Grant (HUG) scheme, Cosy Homes has recently been awarded £41 million, which it will use to install energy efficient measures in approximately 2000 properties over the next two years, to help residents feel warmer and safer in their homes.
Many Tatham properties should be eligible, as two of the qualifying criteria for the HUG are poor Energy Performance rating (D or worse) and not having gas central heating.
Qualifying residents can receive grants up to £38,000 for measures such as
- Solid Wall Insulation
- Loft Insulation
- Room in Roof Insulation
- Underfloor Insulation
- Air Source Heat Pumps
- High Heat Retention Storage Heaters
- Solar PV
- Solar Thermal
- Energy-efficient External Doors
- Single Windows Upgraded to Double Glazed
