Footpath Upgrade near Lowgill

June 2022. Tatham footpath volunteers have completed installation of new steps on a steep section of the footpath between Lowgill and the Church of the Good Shepherd, near the Old School.

The project was carried out in stages over the course of several weeks, as the Parish Council’s lasting contribution to the celebrations of the Queen’s seventy-year reign. Commemorative plaques have been installed, and an official opening of the “Platinum Steps” is planned for later in the year.

Our thanks to the landowners for their support, to Lancashire County Council Public Rights of Way Team for the materials, and as always to the hard-working team of Tatham footpath volunteers, who are pictured above testing their work.
