This major project, to build a new Bowland Tunnel from Botton Hall to Newton-in-Bowland, is scheduled to start in 2023. Though most of the HARP operations will be at the Newton end, the work will bring a lot of extra HGVs onto certain of Tatham’s roads for a period of many months. The proposed route is from Low Bentham, via Long Lane, Fairheath Road and Furnessford Road. Parts of the route will need upgrading before the HGV movements can begin.
