A previous post talked about the average carbon footprint per household in Tatham. But what’s yours? The web is awash with tools that claim they can give you the answer, but most are badly-designed and gimmicky, and their verdicts unreliable. An exception is a new tool designed by CAfS Cumbria Action for Sustainability. In fact there are two – one for households, and one for businesses. Click here to find out more about them.
If you do take the time to enter your own household data, you’ll find out how your footprint compares with an average household, and with the challenging target figure that would make it possible for the UK to meet its climate promises. Most of us are way over the target! But if you would like to get closer to it, CAfS is on hand again, with a one-hour Zoom session on Cutting your Carbon Footprint. It’s free, and will be run three times: Tuesday 15th June at 7pm, Monday 28th June at 1pm, Wednesday 21st July at 7pm.
